Andrew and Jamie's love story started the way the best ones do, through a chance encounter, good music, and a little bit of fate. They met in 2016 at a gathering through mutual friends and what started as a shared love of music sparked their first real conversations, and a friendship quietly became something more.
Over the years, they built a life full of adventure and meaning. They have called many parts of Los Angeles home over the years and loved every version of the city they discovered together. Chloe, their sweet dog, was their faithful companion through so much of it, and saying goodbye to her left a real mark. Life has not always been easy but Andrew and Jamie have faced everything together and come out the other side stronger for it.
Fast forward to November 2023 and a trip to Seoul, South Korea already on the calendar…Andrew had a plan. They kicked off the day at one of their favorite cafes, followed by a sashimi lunch. The real destination though was 하늘공원 (Sky Park), a beautiful elevated park sitting high above the city.
On the way up, the warm aroma of roasted chestnuts stopped them in their tracks and Andrew picked up a bag for the walk, one of Jamie's favorite snacks. They roamed through the park, taking in the flowers and the art, snapping photos and stopping for hot tea, enjoying the day. All the while, Andrew was quietly searching for the right spot. After circling the entire park, he had finally found a quiet corner at the edge, perched above the city, just as it was beginning to light up for the evening.
Andrew got down on one knee and proposed to his best friend. Jamie's eyes lit up as she said yes and Andrew felt like the happiest man alive.
They spent the rest of the night celebrating with friends, food and drinks in a city that will always hold a special place in their hearts. The perfect beginning to the rest of their lives.
